Comments:

Only part I would have done differently was split up schools/teams and mix for “share session.”
He was unaware of many critical NYS factors- RTI only mandated K-4; No state guidelines for Middle/HS RTI; AIS. Someone should have informed him.
I learned a great deal from the real world case studies and group discussions.
Very informative & helpful—inspiring when teaching can become disheartening.
Informative & Motivating.
As a classroom teacher in a MS, RTI is a new process/procedure for me. A brief background would have been helpful.
This was an excellent workshop.
Needs to know NYS regs, policy, procedures. Otherwise very good. Highly motivating.
For a school that has a lot of the Tiers in place, more information about specific further planning would have been helpful.
Knowledgeable & helpful to individual district needs.
Weakness: familiarity with NYS assessments & AIS requirements.

Suggestions for future workshops:

1.         Give out free copy of book!
2.         More interaction with local success stories.
3.         Facets of Tier 2—how to expand tier 2 model.
4.         Demonstration of Tier 2 interventions.
5.         RTI 101 for Beginners (at the secondary level)
6.         Have the workshop run for 2 days with more time to develop a framework.
7.         Proof Slides. There are some capitalization & punctuation errors/inconsistencies
8.         Know your audience, i.e. history, laws requirements of state.
9.            Differentiated Instructions per the RTI model at Tier 1 level.
10.            Different Computer Software/ Websites to implement Tier 2 RTI Interventions.
11.       Ideas for Tier 2 “canned Programs” Types of options.
12.            Software workshop for Resources for RTI.
13.       RTI> Universal Screening in Reading & Writing.
